Southern Mudding vehicles
Pickups are the backbone, semis do the heavy jobs, and September alone added a new pickup, a UTV, two RVs, two Jeeps and the wrecker recovery truck.

Southern Mudding's garage spans everything from a free starter pickup to heavy wreckers and semis. The hard part for most players is not driving — it is figuring out what each vehicle class is actually for, and what changed in the last month of Friday updates.
This page covers the vehicle landscape as of the September 25, 2026 update: the classes, what September added, how to get vehicles, and the loading and towing basics that trip up new owners.
Vehicle classes at a glance
| Class | Best used for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pickups | everything from daily driving to mud runs | the backbone class; also the only class with nitrous so far |
| Semi trucks + trailers | heavy towing, delivery-style runs | the deepest "job" gameplay in the game |
| Classic & muscle cars | street driving, drag strip racing | sold through car packs and the market |
| ATVs & UTVs | tight trails, quick recovery runs | a new two-seat UTV arrived September 25 |
| Dirt bikes | narrow, twisty routes | light and fast, minimal protection |
| Boats | the lake and waterways | towable to the water — seen in community footage |
| RVs | camping and roleplay on the road | two new RVs arrived September 18 |
| Specialty (wrecker) | recovering stuck and wrecked vehicles | jacks, twin winches, and a boom for hauling semis |
What September 2026 changed
The last four Fridays rewrote a fair chunk of the vehicle list:
- September 25 — a new pickup truck, a new UTV, LED whip lights, and nitrous for pickups (see the nitrous guide).
- September 18 — two new RVs and one limited truck, alongside the map refresh.
- Mid-September — two new Jeeps, an old-school model and a modern one; at least one reads as a limited release.
- Early September — the wrecker arrived with working jacks, twin winches, and a boom, plus semi truck sound and interior updates.
How to get a vehicle
- The free group truck. Join the Southern Mudding group first — the group description offers a free pickup truck to members. Claim it in game before spending anything.
- In-game cash. Dealers and the in-game market (office computers around the map) sell the everyday lineup. Earning cash comes from jobs, towing, racing, and general play.
- Vehicle packs. Race Car, Deluxe Car, Classic Car, Police Vehicle, and Deluxe Mudder packs cover themed bundles — one purchase, multiple vehicles (see the gamepasses guide for how packs compare).
- Limited releases. Limited vehicles show up with updates and can have separate access rules. Read the in-game entry before assuming a limited truck is free.
Loading ATVs, bikes, and mowers
The community's loading routine, from footage of people actually doing it:
- Back the truck or trailer up to a ramp (the tool store sells loading gear).
- Line up straight — a crooked approach is how bikes end up on their side.
- One vehicle at a time, gentle throttle; the ramps are steeper than they look.
- Secure if your setup allows it, then double-check before highway speed.
Towing basics
Hooking up a trailer changes how the whole rig behaves: braking distances grow and turning radius widens. The players who look calm towing are the ones who slowed down before the corner. If you are new, keep self-recovery on your mind — a truck that can pull itself out beats a truck with more power but no plan.
What to drive first
Match the vehicle to the job, not the other way around. If you want trails, take a pickup. If you want to earn, a semi and trailer is the deepest job loop. If you want chaos with friends, a UTV on a tight trail does the trick. Everything else is taste.
For the map context these vehicles live in — trails, the drag strip, camps, and house claiming — see the map and houses guide. New players should start with the beginner guide.
