Southern Mudding map and houses
The September 18 refresh renovated existing locations, added two new routes, new terrain and better trees — and house claiming gives every player a free home base.

The Southern Mudding map is the quiet star of the September 2026 updates. The official description calls it a map "purpose built for the off-road," and the September 18 patch renovated the existing locations, added two new routes, reworked terrain materials, and improved the trees. If you last played in August, the world genuinely looks different.
This guide covers what changed, the map's main facilities, and the house system — including how to claim a house and what the Luxury Houses pass actually buys.
What the September 18 map update changed
- Existing locations renovated — familiar landmarks got visual and layout passes, so your old mental map is mostly right but not exactly right.
- Two new routes — the update added fresh trail connections rather than just widening what existed.
- New terrain materials — the ground under your tires renders and behaves with updated surfaces.
- Improved trees — a visible foliage upgrade across the map.
The same update also added two RVs and a limited truck, which fits the theme: the map now has more places worth staying, and vehicles to stay in.
The map's main facilities
| Facility | What it does |
|---|---|
| Town streets | the social hub — cruising, meetups, and paved driving |
| Mechanic shop | vehicle service and setup work |
| Customization garage | the full build menu — paint, wheels, suspension, engine, and nitrous for pickups |
| Drag strip | straight-line racing for muscle cars and race builds |
| Tool store | loading gear like ramps, plus practical items |
| Camper area | the RV camping zone added around the September 18 refresh |
| The lake | boating area — trailers can haul boats to the water, seen in community footage |
| House plots | claimable houses for a home base (see below) |
| Off-road trails | the main event: mud, dirt, and increasingly technical routes |
Delivery-style jobs also take you across the map — the office computers and job start points distribute you around these facilities, which is a good excuse to learn the roads.
Houses: claiming and what you get
There is a dedicated badge in the game called Claimed a House — claiming a house is one of the four core badges, which tells you how central it is. Once you have a house:
- You have a fixed home base for spawns and for stashing the session's plan.
- You have somewhere to park and show vehicles — houses are the natural backdrop for the game's roleplay side.
- You have a place to camp the map refresh: the RV and camper culture in the September updates pairs naturally with owning a plot.
The Luxury Houses pass
The Luxury Houses gamepass upgrades the housing side of the game. In the August 2026 price snapshot it sat mid-pack at 290 Robux. As always with passes: buy it when house gameplay is what you are actually doing, not before — the standard houses cover the home-base job fine.
Camping and roleplay locations
The September 18 update's two new RVs are clearly aimed at the map's camping crowd. The camper area is the anchor spot, but "play with friends, roleplay" is straight from the official game description — road trips, convoy rules, and campground meetups are the intended endgame here, not an accident. Grab an RV (or a trailer setup), pick a spot, and define your own thing.
